Toothpaste: We made the switch!

Well, it's one of the final bathroom items left to be replaced or reinvented. Toothpaste. The last of the Colgate (that 2 year supply from Costco) ran out last week, leaving us with a few travel size samples from the dentist. So, I gave in and made the switch.

As stated on their website, this toothpaste is:

"Made with real cranberry extract known to block bacteria from adhering to teeth and gums, it helps prevent plaque formation before it starts. The SLS-free formula contains calcium and phosphorous to promote strong, healthy teeth. No artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sweeteners."

And the featured ingredient is cranberry extract, which block bacteria from forming on the gums.

Here is a complete list of the ingredients:

"Active Ingredient: Sodium monofluorophosphate 0.77% (0.14% w/v fluoride ion);
Inactive Ingredients: glycerin, hydrated silica, xylitol, calcium sodium phosphosilicate, sodium cocoyl glutamate, titanium dioxide, vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) fruit powder, chondrus crispus (carrageenan), stevia rebaudiana extract, xanthan gum, silica, flavor*, lecithin, maltodextrin - *natural flavor"

And while it's a little stickier, it tastes fine and I'm happy with the ingredients. This particular brand comes in fluoride or non-fluoride varieties. There's also a kids' version (which our son has been using for over a year now).
