Eco Fashion

Everything has gone pro-environment...even fashion, and I mean big name fashion, run-way fashion, obnoxious "cover of Bazaar Magazine" fashion. But, I guess that is a good thing, right? The more popular the concept becomes, the more "couture" and "sophisticated"...the more likely it will trickle down to the average consumer.

Right now, ecological clothing options exist. But, most of the "new", organic, fair trade, made in the U.S., made-at-home-from-ecologically-friendly-materials products are not very economical. The most inexpensive options are still recycled/re-used/re-visioned items from your local thrift or second-hand store. A few more upscale vintage stores might have some great items, but even those have a tendency toward the pricey price tag.

It'll be nice when Made in the USA, from plain old organic materials moves past chic, down to cool, and lands at "normal". Because then, the rest of us will be able to afford it.
